Have you ever wanted to dig deeper into the Barbershop sound? Why does it sound the way it does? What's the history behind this American genre of music? Well, let not your heart be troubled. The Johnny Appleseed district of the Barbershop Harmony Society has just the thing for you. Apple Corps Camp is where you can learn all sorts of good stuff about barbershopping, like how to blend together as a quartet, how to write barbershop music, hone your stage prescence, and sharpen you singing skills. Those of us who went last year, had a blast, and managed to learn some new tricks. We participated in a MEGA-CHORUS, with guys from all over the district. and some of us threw down in a impromptu quartet contest with three other guys picked at random. The food was good too! Come join us and take a trip that will be enlightening as well as enjoyable. Bring a friend and have a real good time. |
